As I write this the UK is experiencing a heatwave with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees. How do hearing aids cope in this weather?
Well the main problem can be moisture from sweat or general humidity getting into the aid. Whilst not so prevalent in this country desiccant kits for drying aids out are becoming more useful. The hearing aid is placed in a container with a desiccant tablet to dry out usually overnight. We have these in stock and free to customers who have purchased hearing aids from us, either through Congleton Hearing Centre, Poynton Hearing Centre or Glossop Hearing Centre. Just ask for more information. Meanwhile keep cool and if you’re reading this in the middle of winter – sorry!
