I have been experiencing some difficulty in hearing for some time but like many people it wasn’t causing me as many problems as it was causing others who were trying to communicate with me.
After some protestations I agreed to have a hearing test and out shopping one day I saw the UK Hearing Centre ( Congleton) on my local high street and booked an appointment. I was nervous and a little embarrassed as this issue was yet another reminder that I was getting older. I need not have worried as I was greeted by a very friendly lady who immediately put me at ease and reassured me that a simple painless test would soon either confirm that my hearing was alright or identify the hearing loss.
Come the day of my appointment I attended and was greeted by the same lovely lady who again made me feel completely at ease. I was then introduced to Anthony Berg and he undertook my hearing test, having first explained to me what he intended to do and how long it would take. The test was exactly as I had been told , simple and painless and I was told the results there and then.
Anthony then explained to me the type of hearing loss I have and the impact it would have on my ability to hear, understand and communicate effectively in my day to day life. We then discussed and tried various types of hearing aids and the benefits/ deficits of each type were fully explained to me and we finally agreed on the best hearing aids for me. I then returned the following week for the aids to be configured to my specific needs and the process of getting used to the hearing aids and getting the best out of them was explained to me.
I was dealt with professionally throughout the whole experience and reassured throughout that I could return at any time if I had a question or any problems. I am extremely pleased with service I received and the advice given to me was highly professional and specific to my needs. I felt confident that the hearing aids I had were ideally suited to me and my lifestyle. I would highly recommend Anthony and Kay to everyone out there who is worried about their hearing.
